#18 – Incredibly excited to share this with you. With good vibes and happy intentions ☀️ ❤️

… wouldn’t go amiss !

not go amiss (UK, informal)

(= be welcome) ne pas être de trop, ne pas faire de mal, ne pas être contre [qch], ne pas être de refus…
Note: Usually preceded by “would” If something might/would not go amiss, it would be useful and might help to improve a situation:
A word of apology might not go amiss. A sense of proportion would not go amiss in all of this. A bit more time spent on preparation wouldn’t have gone amiss. I think a little advice on healthy living wouldn’t go amiss. A few more hooks for bags and coats might not go amiss. A bit of tact wouldn’t go amiss if you don’t want to cause offence. Un peu de tact ne serait pas de trop si tu ne veux pas blesser les gens. A cup of tea wouldn’t go amiss. Je ne serais pas contre une petite tasse de thé. Une tasse de thé ? Ça n’est pas refus.
(…) some polishing up (peaufinage, rafraîchissement
) of statistics models knowledge wouldn’t go amiss and I will without question (sans hésiter) support Kate.

take something amiss

To be offended by something that someone has said to you: I was worried that he might take my remark amiss (le prendre mal / le prendre de travers)
